The Huawei nova 8 is an upgrade of the Nova 7 and comes with more features than the later which I will be showing you in this Huawei Nova 8 review. This smart phone was officially announced in China on December 23, 2020 and was made available in January 8, 2020.

Huawei Nova 8 is packed with many features which I will be showing you in this review. It spots a 6.53 inches display with 1080 x 2400 pixels, 64Mp camera, 8GB RAM and 3800mAh.

The Huawei Nova 8 is an amazing phone that comes with many great specs found in most flagship phones. The Huawei Nova 8 is a good phone to buy in 2021, but aside the features above, what can else those this smartphone offers. Find out in this Huawei Nova 8 Review.

Huawei Nova 8 Price and Released date

The Huawei NOVA 8 is not yet available but according to rumours, the expected price is around ₦190,000 in Nigeria. Once this smartphone is released, we will let you know of the actual price in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and global.

The Huawei Nova 8 will be released together with the Nova 8 Pro, a similar phone with more features and increased price. And as usual, both phone will be available on reputable online stores like Jumia, Amazon and Ali-Express.

Huawei Nova 8 Review

The Huawei Nova 8 is a decent phone with an entering level features that could get you all the features you want in your phone. This device is actually in between mid-range phone and a flagship phone. It does shows premium features but not so much, like it does not support wireless charging.

The Huawei Nova 8 comes with an amazing screen with premium features and the overall hardware device are just amazing. If you are a person that wants a flagship phone but your budget won’t permit, then this is the right phone for you. Although its not a flagship device, but you can’t also call it a mid-ranger because it spots many flagship features.

Unboxing

The Huawei Nova 8 comes in a nice looking white box. Unboxing, the first thing you will find is the phone itself. Going further into the box, you find a transparent glass case, sim ejector tool, and some paper works to get you started. Also included in the box is a USB Type-C cable, a pair of earpiece and a 66W fast charger.

Design

The look and feel of the Huawei Nova 8 is amazing and you will notice a premium design. When you first pick up this device, the first thing you will definitely notice is the colour on the back. The incredible way light reflects the colour is down to the 12 layer nano level coating technology that adjust the different lighting.

The back of the device is all glass and the quad-cameras are housed here. The cameras are arranged in an oval-shape. The main camera is at the top and its large, while the rest of the cameras are beneath it including the LED light.

The power and volume keys are housed in the right side of this device and the left is completely flash. This device does not come with any memory slot and therefore not expandable. The bottom of the smartphone housed the USB Type-C port, SIM tray, mic and the stereo speakers. Nothing is at the top of this device.

Display

As you will expect in most new entering level phone, the Nova 8 comes with a large screen, 6.57 inches. Speaking of the screen, It spots a 6.57 inches display with a 1080 x 2340 resolution. This is a good resolution if you love streaming and watching videos. The screen is actually HDR compatible for smoother display and it spots 90 Hz refresh rate.

Camera

The Huawei nova 8 spots a quad-camera set-up with 64Mp wide camera, 8Mp ultrawide camera, 2Mp depth and macro. The rear camera has a new design with the main Camera is at the top and the rest are below it with the flash light. The selfie camera is a single 32Mp camera which will be able to record a 4K video.

Performance

Powering the device is a Kirin 985 5G Octa-core processor with a mali-G77 graphics processing unit which allows gaming on this device enjoyable. With his kind of processor combined with the 8GB RAM you get from this device, playing games is enjoyable and you can even play games at highest settings.

Battery

This smartphone is powered by a 3800mAh non-removable battery. The battery capacity is small, Although the battery capacity is small, it will still last you a day after full recharge and has a high endurance rate. It actually support fast charging and reverse charging.
