Samsung unveils the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G on January 14, 2020, alongside the Galaxy S21+ and S21 Ultra. This smartphone has the lowest specs and of course the lowest price among these series.
Design-wise, the back of this smartphone is polycarbonate (plastic) as opposed to glass in the S20. Samsung probably uses polycarbonate in order to reduce the price and to make a significant difference between the S21 and S21+.
The device sports 6.2 inches Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ compatibility, and 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen is protected by corning Gorilla Glass Victus which happens to be the best protection right now.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. Fueling this device is a 4000 mAh with 25W fast charging, 15W fast wireless charging, and 4.5W Reverse Wireless Charging.
The device is powered by Exynos 1200 (5nm) for the global version and Snapdragon 888 (5nm) for those living in the US, Korea, and China. The Exynos 1200 processor features the Mali-G78 GPU and the Snapdragon 888 features Adreno 660 GPU.
The Camera set-up in this smartphone is a Triple camera set-up. It sports a 12MP wide camera, 64MP telephoto, and 12MP ultrawide camera. The Front is a single camera with 10Mp wide camera.
The price of the Samsung Galaxy S21 starts at $799 which is equivalent to NGN 303,220 in Nigeria, GH₵ 4,658 in Ghana, KSh 88,209 in Kenya, and €657 in the UK.
